Just like Vince and my brother Layne, I grew up in Billings, Montana, went to Bench Elementary, Castle Rock Middle School and graduated from Skyview High School.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and a master’s degree in Education, from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota. After my time at DWU, I went on to earn my Juris Doctorate from the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Virginia. There, I was a member of the Criminal Defense Trial Team and earned a certificate in Natural Resources. During law school, I worked in the Deputy Attorney’s office at the Yellowstone County Courthouse.
At age 5, I wanted to be a professional baseball player.
I learned that I wanted to get into the legal field back when I was at Skyview High School, in Mr. Jette’s Government class. I just found law to be very interesting.
I practice Criminal law, Expungements, Bankruptcy, Family Law and Personal Injury. I am licensed to practice in Montana, North Dakota and the United States Federal District Court of Montana.
As an attorney, you have a unique ability to help people. When you win a case, or you’ve helped your client get the settlement they deserve, and you see that smile, that’s when it’s all worth it.
My advice, for anyone wanting to become an attorney, is to never stop trying. Never stop believing in yourself. But most importantly, never give up. When your day comes, and it will, you will be ready.
When I am not in the office, you’ll find me coaching at the local gym, or fly fishing one of Montana’s many beautiful rivers.
If I could be any superhero, I would be Vegeta from the Dragon Ball franchise.
